Have you guys seen this? It is based on Ubuntu, but has an internet/google focus on it. I kind of like it!

Have heard about gtk-recordMyDestkop http://recordmydesktop.iovar.org. Haven't tested it yet but it seems that it can record compiz-effects pretty nicely. To promote our BoiseUbuntu, I think, we need to polish the videos we upload giving it a more professional look. I've embedded a tutorial video from YouTube which should be much helpful for all of us to record the Linux desktop.

it is not my video.

The eeepc video is mine however. I am aware of screencasting software, however the eeepc is a budget computer, and I was trying to show off the compiz effects, and the screencasting severely limited the effects so I used my camera.

But I still think a tutorial and video would be excellent for us all to see!

Great OS for 'G' lovers! I would like to test the live version too!
A side note: It seems that you are you using a camera to take the video (if this video is created by you). You can find some great desktop recording software for Linux too. One of them is wink http://www.debugmode.com/wink/. I am creating a video too for BoiseUbuntu. I hope to upload it when I finish writing a blog about the contents of the video. It is a kind of tutorial.
