Hi guys.
Here is a following calendar for you to check. Our next meet up is scheduled for the 22nd. (Sorry I have a wedding to go to on the 15, Actually a guy that uses Ubuntu too!) For all of those whom I have your email address, I have invited you to use the google calendar, which we will schedule events for.
For those of you who I do not have an email for (Ashok, Cale, and who ever else might troll this page)
you can check it out here.
Ryan and I have a pretty good start on a feature article we would like to post in the arbiter, introducing open source linux. We have some good facts, and we think it would be great to get the word out about the group. It is obviously too late to become a real legitimate group here at Boise State, but I think we should prove to ourselves first that we are the real deal anyway.
A new friend to the group has done a potential desktop background for our customized Ubuntu OS. It is a nice BroncOS theme. It is a good start for sure.
I still would like to give everyone responsibilities, because as much as I love ubuntu, I'm a busy guy so I can't do all of this. I know you guys are busy too, so believe me when I say I won't dump much on you.
I've decided to start carrying some Ubuntu cd's, to hand out to people. I'll write our group address on it, so people will come visit it. But if we could get a forum going, that would have a bunch of instructions on what to do immediately for a newb, (dvd mp3, flash, and software)
If you guys could round up some links/instructions, and start a forum, I would much appreciate it.
-Trent
