I realize many of you don't use twitter, and Ryan used it like times. Here is a cool reason why you should check it out:

my username is
cutlerite, Ryan's is
ripvan.
It is a quick way for us to keep in touch, and you can use it through the web, phone, or application. Through twitter alone, I have discovered a few other ubuntu users in the area. It is pretty cool!
Anyway, I had a rough time finding a good twitter client to use on the desktop. Twitter used to be integrated with googletalk, but isn't anymore. On windows you have a full arsenal of software like digsby, tweetdeck, or twhirl (the last two are adobe air (and may work on the latest beta for linux).
However linux is left with gtwitter, twittux, gnome-do, or bash. All of which are below acceptable IMO. I finally decided to use "
beTwittered" on google gadgets. You can run google gadgets as a screenlet. Being able to run google gadgets as screenlets isn't mentioned enough. You can try it out here:

I recommend you sign up and use twitter with me! If you post anything ubuntu or BoiseUbuntu related, lets tag the 'tweet' as #boiseubuntu. These are searchable, and we can create an rss feed based on them. So we can have a collaborative history of twitter.
You need to be a member of BoiseUbuntu to add comments!
