BoiseUbuntu

Started by students at Boise State

Welcome!

This is a group for people who want to get together and educate each other about linux operating systems, primarily ubuntu.

Most of us use Ubuntu, but we are very interested in making this a Boise State LUG, (we're using Ubuntu as a springboard into a LUG).

For those of you who do not know what ubuntu is, I suggest you take a graphical tour:

Ready for Ubuntu? Download it
have questions? Send any of us a message!

Essentially I want to just have a get together of some ubuntu users and discuss what we would like to do as a group, and eventually get 'real club status' here at Boise State.

Some things I would like to do:
1. Formal Meetings, where we have news, tips and training, and food.
2. Volunteer to help students resurrect their overloaded windows computers by helping them install free open source ubuntu.

Anyway, I think it is a great idea, and would look great on a resume. At least do me the favor of joining online, and letting any other ubuntu users know about it-whether you're serious or not.
